hi there welcome along to a writer's
life experience
coming up for you this time how to be a
successful self-published author
becoming a successful self-published
author is possible
it takes time effort and strategic
planning but if you are willing to
dedicate yourself to your self-published
book success there's no reason why it
can't happen for you
here's how be sure that self-publishing
is the right way to go being an indie
author is no picnic before you assume
self-publishing is the way forward
really research and understand the
process and what you need to do to make
it happen asking yourself how much time
you can dedicate to the process and how
much you're willing to learn and take on
board are both critical questions to
consider before you press publish next
decide how much you need or want some
urn self-publishing if done well can be
way more lucrative than the traditional
model the money available to
self-published authors is enormous and
if you treat your book like a business
and yourself as a brand you can come up
with proper workable strategies to sell
more books if you're happy to treat your
book sales as a pleasant side income
then that's okay too the point is you
need to be clear with yourself about
what your goals are so you can then
figure out how to reach
it's a good idea to think about your
writing going forward also
self-published authors don't just stop
at one book so can you afford and do you
have the time to write say 1000 words a
day if you do you could finish around
five books a year the more you write the
more you'll have to sell and the more
potential your business has for profit
next write books that people want to
read sounds simple right
a no-brainer the point is that most
writers don't really honestly consider
what their reader is looking for they
write their story because they are so
passionate and desperate to have it
heard if you are honest with yourself
however you can be sure that there is an
audience out there clamoring to read it
probably not if you want to be a
successful self-published author you
need to look at what people are reading
and trends in the market and so on then
do your research learn about the genre
follow the rules in the formulas and you
can produce something that already has
an audience ready and waiting to read it
next gather your fans to be successful
you need to gather readers you need to
find ways to get people excited about
your book before it even hits the
shelves do this by building an email
list getting active on social media
having a great author website all of
this takes time and preparation and
needs to be done well in advance of
publishing your novel next never stop
once you publish your novel you need to
keep working on it promote it
continually keep researching where you
could tap into new audiences and most
importantly keep writing to a real
writers job is
finished there is always more you can do
so work tirelessly and don't stop until
you are achieving the kind of success
you always dreamed of and don't forget
if you're struggling to write or for
this your book our free writers toolkit
can help with it you'll learn how to
overcome procrastination get organized
stay focused
find time to write and finally get your
book published to get access to it now
while it's still available simply go to

Hello there is Peter here again and
welcome to more tips and advice from
writers life and today how to set your
freelance writing goals becoming a
freelance writer can be a lucrative and
rewarding way to earn a living many
writers who want to free up more time to
work on their novels decide to write
nonfiction articles blogs web content
and much more for clients as freelance
writers to allow them to manage their
time better and earn money doing what
they love however to become successful
as a freelance writer it's important to
set some goals to keep improving not
only the quality of your work but the
kind of work you undertake as well goals
give you motivation direction and allow
you to focus on what's more important to
you - so how do you set goals for
yourself as a freelance writer first
think about what you hope to achieve
goal-setting is all about giving
yourself targets start by thinking about
where you'd like to end up and be clear
and specific this can be both financial
but also around job satisfaction - would
you like to specialize in a particular
area for example start big then try to
work out the step by step actions you
need to take to get you there next
organize your goals in order of priority
working out what you want to achieve the
most and what is most important to real
first is essential some goals might not
be possible to achieve without first
doing something else so by prioritizing
your goals you start to see a timeline
emerge showing you what you need to do
and in what order
next make sure your goals are smart any
goal you set for yourself should adhere
to the smart theory smart means there
should be specific measurable attainable
relevant and time-sensitive thinking
about your goals in this way will mean
that you are very clear about what you
need to do to move forward you also
create deadlines for yourself and make
sure that every goal you set for
yourself is related to your work and
important to you but not so impossible
that you end up getting exasperated with
the process and feeling demotivated next
be prepared to be flexible but hold
yourself accountable sometimes goals
have to be rethought and goal posts need
to be shifted and that's okay
just make sure that you can be flexible
enough to do this and not beat yourself
up about it too much if this is what has
to happen at the same time it's
important to hold yourself accountable
for your goals and track and review
their progress as time goes on becoming
a highly paid and successful freelance
writer won't happen overnight
by setting goals for yourself however
you can pave the way for yourself and
see how to get there
so set goals work hard to achieve them
and don't forget to celebrate your
success as you do and don't forget if
you're struggling to write or finish
your book our free writers toolkit can
help with it you'll learn how to
overcome procrastination get organized
stay focused find time to write and
finally get your book published to get
access now while it's still available

Hello and welcome to more tips and
advice from writers life my name's Peter
and coming up this time can you write a
book while working full-time let's take
a look so many of us have a dream to
complete a novel we have this great idea
for a story in our heads and desperately
want to write it down and share it with
the world
however the practicalities of writing a
novel mean that for many their dream
never becomes a reality writing a novel
takes enormous amounts of dedication and
the time and energy a person needs to be
able to dedicate to their novel makes it
difficult to fit in around their already
busy lives many would-be writers believe
that if only they were able to quit
their job and write they could get that
novel written but doing so while also
working full-time seems like an
impossible task however it can be done
here are some helpful strategies to help
you find more time to write and get your
first novel down even while working full
time first find out when you are most
productive some people can set their
alarms an hour earlier and find that
first thing in the morning they are full
of energy to write others can barely
open their eyes to get up in time for
work as it is that's okay
perhaps you can go to bed an hour later
instead already exhausted
what about break times commuting time or
over lunch your life may seem pretty
full already but finding a time that
works around your schedule and where you
can be productive is possible it's all
about experimenting and then making that
part of your routine it may be that you
don't get the luxury of writing when you
want to but the point is that you can
find time to write if you are truly
determined to do so
and next get your loved ones on board it
will be great to have a dedicated
writing room a place to get our thoughts
organized and let's our creative juices
flow but the reality is that might not
be possible still you can get those you
live with to support you and give you
space and time to write after work if
you've got kids you need to provide them
with attention when you get back from
work and you need to have quality time
with your partner too so make sure you
get home and do just that but then after
dinner when everyone else has settled
down to watch TV for the night or do
homework or whatever you claim that time
as your own even if it's just an hour
you'll be amazed at what you can get
done if your loved ones are all on board
and know that's the time you need to be
yourself to be productive and next give
some stuff up if you really can't find
the time in your schedule to write you
need to evaluate what is more important
to you are there things that you could
give up to give yourself time to write
making sacrifices like this may not be
easy but you'll find it so rewarding
when you start to realize your dream and
next truly dedicate yourself it's so
easy to make excuses and they may well
be valid ones but if writing a book is
important to you it needs to become a
priority if you push yourself and make a
proper commitment to writing anything is
possible you might think you are working
as hard as you can but if you are truly
honest with yourself there's probably
something you could do to become more
effective more efficient and push
yourself even further than you thought
possible next don't compare yourself to
others at the end of the day if you want
to write a book while working full time
you naturally can't expect to keep up
with those writers who can spend the
entire day
their craft so keep things in
perspective and understand that while it
may take you longer to get there the
destination is still the same and will
feel just as good when you arrive do you
work and write at the same time share
your experiences and let us know how you
make it work
and don't forget if he's struggling to
write or finish your book our free
writers toolkit can help with it you'll
learn how to overcome procrastination
get organized
stay focused find time to write and
finally get your book published to get

Hello there is peter here again from
writers life and coming up this time how
to boost your author profile like never
before
self-promotion doesn't come naturally to
many writers we are generally shy and
flighty creatures who spend much of our
time trying to prepare ourselves for
rejection failure and all-encompassing
do why would we want to bring more
attention to ourselves when doing so not
only suggests we actually think that our
own work is good god forbid but also our
therefore opening up the possibility of
even more people being able to wade in
and tell us how we are wasting our time
and should definitely give up altogether
all with a heartbreaking dream crushing
grin on their faces the problem is
however that without the willingness to
self promote in this day and age your
chances of furthering your writing
career are basically zero luckily there
is masses of information online and in
books about the different ways we can
promote ourselves as writers it's an art
really and one we must learn if we ought
to keep up building audience and
actually sell our work think of your
author platform as your new book take
your time to think about each and
everything you do you can't expect to
create a fantastic author platform
overnight it takes time to build this
opener to
thanks it but if you put the effort in
you'll see a dramatic difference in the
number of engagements you receive and
ultimately the number of readers who
will become loyal fans of your work
firstly be very clear about who you are
train to targets learn what your readers
want what they are interested in and how
they like to receive information think
about how you want your work to be
viewed and make sure you influence your
readers and direct them to this way of
thinking your message should be
consistent you should have a voice and a
style that people can recognize as yours
make sure you keep tabs on where you're
being mentioned Google Alerts is a
simplest way to do this you can easily
set up several alerts such as your name
and book titles and keep track of when
and where you pop up online this way you
can see your author platform growing
before your very eyes make sure you
think people respond to them when they
mention you too and don't make it all
about me this is the golden rule when it
comes to social media use your platform
to mostly share useful funny
entertaining information and only
promote yourself and your work in
between this if you're writing a bunch
of useful articles that will interest
your audience then that's fine you're
sharing this information for free so
people will be glad of it if every
second tweet is a link to buy your book
however people will lose interest and
see you a socially selfish which is
never a good thing there's nothing wrong
with being a bit of a copycat take a
look at your competition writers in the
same field as you or authors you have
how do they handle their author platform
you can learn so much this way from what
kind of content you should be posting to
how frequently to the tone and style
that you should adopt be engaging
responsive and most importantly yourself
people don't like fake whining all those
who try too hard
authors are not brands they are people
and so should act like them fans of your
work will be interested in you and your
life and what you like to do in your
spare time so make sure you keep it
personal don't assume that no one cares
or wants to listen to what you have to
say spark conversations be friendly and
give something back people are sure to
respect you for that a little by little
this will help your author profile grow
and don't forget if you're struggling to
write or finish your book Alfre writer's
toolkit can help with it you'll learn
how to overcome procrastination get
organized stay focused
find time to write and finally get your

Hello there it's Peter here again and
welcome along to writers life coming up
this time the ultimate way to become a
better nonfiction writer how do you
become a great nonfiction writer there's
so much choice out there these days
they're being found in order to be ready
Zac Chua Lee one of the most significant
challenges you might have lots of
interesting ideas and things to say and
you even might be able to convey these
through brilliantly compelling writing
but without anyone being able to find
your work how would they ever know
becoming a better nonfiction writer as
with most things is about practice and
careful methodical planning it is a
learning curve and a craft which takes
time to master so if you want to become
successful as a nonfiction writer you
must be willing to put the time and
effort in success is all about quality
you're providing a service to your
readers and if the quality of that
service is fine they will appreciate it
recommend it and come back for more
these are the things you should think
about before you start first what is
your book about your book needs to have
a clear idea of purpose without this
you'll start to writing at loss and off
topic before you've even really begun
you should be able to neatly and clearly
summarize your idea and be able to tell
someone exactly what your book is about
in under 30 seconds
and in under 50 words can you do that
next who are you writing for make sure
you understand your reader and the
potential size of your readership this
needs to be large enough to make writing
the book worthwhile if your subject is
so niche that only a handful of people
would ever find it interesting
useful then you should ask yourself if
it will in fact be worth your while
next is it unique check out your
competition has your idea being done to
death already do people need another
book on this subject if you think you
have an original idea or at least intend
your content to look at a particular
subject from an unusual angle or
perspective then that's great if there
are vast numbers of books covering the
same thing you should think about how
you can make your book unique rather
than rehashing the same old content
asking yourself whether your book is
actually necessary and being able to
answer yourself honestly is crucial if
you're going to make a success of your
book next can you fill a whole book with
what you have to say are you sure you
have enough material no matter how
passionate you are about writing about
your subjects you need to seriously
consider whether you have enough content
to fill an entire book create a content
map before you start does it all make
sense and work together as one book
organizing your ideas and coming up with
a table of contents will help you decide
if you have enough content to continue
and next are you the right person to
write this book can you really call
yourself an authority on your books
content are you willing to do the work
to back up your claims with facts and
historical data just because you have a
great idea it doesn't necessarily mean
you're the right person to write a book
about it make sure you have given this
some thought before you start if you
don't know enough about this subject
then maybe think about getting some help
if you're completely unknown do you
think you'll be able to get your book
see
and next are you willing to promote your
book authors rely heavily on
self-promotion these days to get noticed
if you want your book to succeed you may
well have to get out there and promote
your work are you willing and do you
have the necessary time to do this if
not how do you intend to sell your book
armed with this information you should
not only be able to write a market your
book successfully but also make a
decision about whether you should write
it in the first place if you have a
great idea for a nonfiction book
there's no reason if you are willing to
do the work it can't become a great
success and don't forget if you're
struggling some rights or finish your
book our free writers toolkit can help
with it you'll learn how to overcome
procrastination get organized
stay focused find time to write and
finally get your book published to get
access now while it's still available

Hello Everyone Peter here again from a
writer's life and coming up today five
guaranteed methods to writing and
feature articles writing feature
articles is a great skill and if done
well can make you a lot of money all
businesses can use feature articles on
their websites and as part of their
marketing plan and of course all
publications need feature articles too
so there is no shortage of demand but
how do you learn to write great feature
articles once that you can pitch to
publications or businesses and make
money from with these five simple tips
writing a feature article is easy and
they can be applied to any feature
article regardless of the subject which
therefore turns you into a brilliant and
versatile writer number one know your
audience this is so important and should
have a massive influence on the style of
writing the information you give the
language you use and so on if you aren't
clear about who you are targeting ask
the business or publication to clarify
or better still do your own research to
find out you need to understand why the
reader will come to that business for
help
why they would choose to pick up on that
publication over all the others and what
are they searching for are they reading
for need or for pleasure are they
looking for specific information or just
to be entertained knowing your reader
inside out before you start writing will
help tailor your article so it not only
appeals to them but exactly the right
kind of content to help and satisfy them
and next understand the point
before you begin writing your feature
article it's essential that you are
clear on what is purposes after your
reader has finished what do you expect
them to do next is there a desired
action or reaction that you need the
reader to have if so make sure your
writing is geared towards that and it's
persuasive and to the point next why
should your reader want to read this
step outside yourself for a moment think
about your target reader would they want
to read your article if so why if not
why not you need to understand what's in
it for them
what benefits are there for the reader
and why they would come to you as the
source of these benefits or information
nowadays you'll be hard-pressed to find
a subject that hasn't been covered
elsewhere so unless you're writing about
something incredibly niche or unusual
you need to come up with a fresh angle
or maybe alright in the absolute
authority on that particular topic next
plan your information before you start
writing do your research
prepare your information and come up
with a structure of how your article
will flow if you're writing for the web
your style should be different to print
features this is because readers are far
more likely to skim read your
information therefore make sure you let
them know what it's all about from your
headline also bring the writing of into
essential points so they can quickly
absorb the information and next be ready
for questions it is now so much easier
for customers and readers to communicate
and voice their opinions once they are
finished with your piece pre prepared
for this and anticipate what questions
they might have nothing looks worse than
and I'm not sure response or worse just
silence readers are a lot more forgiving
if you are happy to respond to them
though if someone has been particularly

Hello there is Peter here again from
writers life coming up today questions
to ask yourself to see if
self-publishing is right for you in 2007
Amazon launched its self publishing
platform Kindle direct publishing KDP
and changed the world of publishing
dramatically now writers were able to
bypass the lengthy process of sending
their manuscript to publisher after
publisher and save themselves the agony
and disappointment of rejection after
rejection they could simply upload their
document it and viola it was ready for
the world to see since then other
publishing platforms such as Smashwords
and draft2digital have also launched
their versions meaning that writers can
see their words in print as digital
downloads audio books and so on however
just because it's easy doesn't make it
the best option
many writers now bypass the whole
traditional publishing process and opt
straight for self-publishing for the
reasons described and many more reasons
to but doing so without careful thought
and consideration may result in regret
later down the line so before you commit
it's good to ask yourself the following
first when are you planning to release
your book if you want to try and get
your book traditionally published you're
going to have to be patient regardless
of how long it takes to write an editor
book you could expect to wait on average
around 6 months for a publisher to get
back to you with an answer and that
answer might very well be thanks but no
thanks even if you do get a positive
response it
typically take another year before you
see it on the bookshelves alternatively
if he wants a self-publish you can do
this pretty much immediately while this
is much more appealing to those who have
finished their book I want to see out
there as quickly as possible it also may
be more tempting to publish before your
book is ready and next are you hoping to
sell lots of copies if you want millions
of people to buy your book and to make
good money from it the tussle between
traditional and self-publishing is
extremely tricky on self-publishing
platforms the competition is
extraordinarily fierce trying to get
your book into a prominent position is
almost impossible unless you already
have a strong fan base and high profile
platform from which to promote it
however many publishers also demand this
review these days though they have huge
marketing departments of teams of people
who conjure up clever ways to promote
your book if you can prove you have an
audience already they're going to give
your manuscript more serious
consideration taking on a new book from
an unknown author is a risk however good
it is so without being sure they can
sell a significant number of copies
they'll be tough to convince however
traditional publishing is more likely to
enable authors to sell more copies of
their books both physically and
digitally and so if selling copies is
our number one goal securing a contract
with a publisher is your best route to
success next do you want to be in
control of the book authors who can't
bear the idea of anyone else meddling
with their book should always self
publish a traditional publisher will
want to change things and details such
as the book cover will be their decision
while being in charge of every aspects
of your
is a tremendous amount of work you still
have ultimate creative control and can
present it to the world exactly as you
intended a traditional publisher may ask
you to change parts of the story that
you love and once you have signed on the
dotted line will take the reins from you
and you have to be okay with that these
three questions can help me decide what
your ultimate goal is when it comes to
publishing your book answer them as
honestly and as much detail as possible
and I'll have a clear idea of whether
self or traditional publishing is the
right route for you and don't forget if
it's struggling to write or finish your
book our free writers toolkit can help
with it you'll learn how to overcome
procrastination get organized
stay focused find time to write and
finally get your book published to get
access to it now while it's still
available simply go to

HI there its Peter here again from writers
life and coming up today avoidable
writing mistakes when it comes to
writing we know it pays to be
professional
whether we're fictional writes is all
freelance writers making sure we
thoroughly check our work a weed out any
errors is crucial it might be impossible
to create every piece of writing
perfectly every single time
however some writing mistakes seem to
crop up time and time again and if we
take a little more care and are a bit
more aware of them they could perhaps be
easily avoidable so what are some of the
most common of writing mistakes
first of all choosing the incorrect word
many words in the English language have
double meanings or similar Spelling's or
pronunciations but don't mean the same
thing si se a and si s EE for example or
your and you are a spell checker won't
flake these up as they are not incorrect
words if misused however they'll leave
your were looking unprofessional so
remain eagle-eyed for these when
proofreading your work next errors in
sentence construction it's very easy to
make mistakes when
constructing sentences often people
start a comparison in a sentence and
then fail to complete it or write of
fragments of a sentence instead of a
whole one because a verb or subject was
being cluded to correct it an
incorrectly placed comma can also make
sentences clunky or in the worst cases
cause them to have a different meaning
altogether
next mistakes around pronouns using
pronouns as a subject or the object as
sensors can cause mistakes to be paid it
is the person or thing performing an
action within a sentence that is in
subjects and the object is a person or
thing who is being acted upon and next
punctuation errors as well as spelling
and grammar mistakes people often leave
punctuation errors in their texts that
can make them seem a little sloppy for
example adding unnecessary semicolons is
a common mistake and adding commas for
no reason is another a semicolon should
be used when two independent clauses are
joined in the absence of a conjunction a
color however is only necessary between
independent clauses when you use a
conjunction such as and all but of
course there are always instances mainly
when writing creatively that the
standard grammar rules may be broken
even purposefully to create a particular
effect this might be acceptable but
depends on a specific piece and this
intended
audience at the end of the day no writer
is perfect
however by avoiding these corner writing
mistakes you could neaten up your prose
and make your writing more professional
and easier to read to and don't forget
if you're struggling to write or finish
your book our free writers talking can
help with it you'll learn how to
overcome procrastination get organized
stay focused and find time to write and
finally get your book published to get
access now while it's still available

Hi it's Peter here again coming up this
time on writers life how to turn your
ideas into stories there's nothing more
gratifying to a writer than when a
brilliant idea for a new story suddenly
gallops up and bursts into our
imagination that first spark of
inspiration where you think I'm really
on to something here and your heart
starts racing and your fingers start
itching to put pen to paper to make sure
you don't lose it is somewhat magical
indeed it's probably one of the most
exciting parts of the writing process
after all that's not to say it's all
downhill from here
but it is essential to recognize how to
translate these brilliant ideas into
stories that will work and perhaps even
more crucial to identify when that
brilliant idea you had just isn't going
to work and have the ability to let it
go so how do you kickstart the writing
process and turn ideas into stories here
are some useful tips first freely
brainstorm in the initial stages it's
crucial to have an anything-goes
attitude don't be too hard on yourself
from the outset or you might never feel
am able to flush out your ideas well
enough to make a start brainstorming is
a fantastic way to start exploring your
idea to delve a little deeper and to
begin to take shape as a story the more
you can write about it and the more
aspects you can get down the more
options you have remember it's important
not to hold back you might go off on a
few weird wonderful tangents but they
could lead to something brilliant and
next research proper research is
essential for any novel no matter what
you're writing about so whatever
kind of idea you have they'll always be
something you can do to investigating
further research can be incredibly
useful because not only are you learning
more about the topics you intend to
bring into your book and will therefore
be better at writing about them you also
might on earth
further nuggets of inspiration to
motivate your even more next clarify and
pin down your theme and the central idea
once you've finished brainstorming and
doing some initial research you should
now be able to sit down and pin put what
the ideas and themes that are going to
hold your novel together are the more
precisely you can define this the more
sturdy your idea will be without this
it's easy to lose focus and with it the
point of your novel so doing this in the
early stages can be very very helpful
next start to work on your characters a
great story only works with fantastic
characters that are exciting and
engaging from the outset before you
start to write your novel you need to
understand the main characters goals and
motivations how they might develop
throughout the story and what conflicts
and obstacles are going to get in their
way
a next start to incorporate subplots now
try to build upon your central Seamon
plot and start to weave in smaller side
stories or other ideas that complement
them your idea needs to have legs it
needs to be workable as a novel and that
means it needs to take a certain amount
of time to unravel by starting to work
in subplots and other ideas you'll feel
more confident that this idea is going
to work when you come to start writing
and now begin
while it's essential to make sure your
idea has got what it takes to turn it
into an exciting story don't delay the
writing process too much stories often
reveal themselves to the writer as they
write them and there is only so much
research or planning you can do before
you have to trust in your imagination
and creativity and talent and just get
going
turning your ideas it's a fully fleshed
out stories takes time and effort by
giving yourself a moment in the
beginning to do so you can start writing
feeling more confident and assured that
this idea is really going somewhere and
don't forget if it's too late to write
or finish your book our free writers
toolkit can help with it you'll learn
how to overcome procrastination get
organized stay focused find times right
and finally get your book published to
get access now while it's still
available simply go to
that's it for now be sure to give us a thumbs

Hello there is Peter here again from
writers life and coming up today how to
identify your target audience
every writer no matter what kind of
writing they are doing or what their
subject matter might be should know
their target audience without this
knowledge it is challenging to tailor
your writing to anyone in particular and
with all the competition out there this
makes it very easy for it to get lost in
the ether so whether you're writing an
article or a novel how can you identify
your target audience and ensure that
your work is speaking directly to them
using the themes of your book consider
the groups of people it might interest
it may be evidence if your book is about
something more factual niche or
specialist however many writers may need
to take more time to consider this it
might be that your novel could appeal to
many different groups depending on what
it's about so really work at pinpointing
the various aspects of your plots and
characters and thinking who might relate
to them do your research
are there any other books out there that
have similarities to yours if so have a
look at how they are marketed and who
they are packaged for and use that as
inspiration for your own marketing plans
it can be beneficial to see what other
pieces of writing in your niche are
doing to find new fans and the
strategies they
use to appeal to that target audience
directly figure out your USP thought
USPS would just for businesses well you
thought wrong pinpointing what makes
your book you need can help you become
more clear on who it might appeal to
your hook is the reason someone might
buy your book and you need a sentence at
most to describe what that is the more
clarity you have around this the easier
it will be to decipher what kind of
person might be interested in the story
you are telling creates an ideal reader
thinking about who you wrote the book
for is very important creates a new
character in your mind the ideal reader
give them a name give them a personality
give them likes and dislikes and habits
and quirks the more you know about your
ideal reader the better you'll be a
communicating with them and listening to
what they wants as well once you've done
all this you need to start working out
ways to communicate with your target
audience and let them know you and your
writing exists find out where their
hangout either physically or virtually
and make your presence known there look
at their buying habits and use that
information to catch them when they are
most likely to part with that cache use
your knowledge of them to create
brilliant pieces of marketing that they
just won't be able to resist discovering
your target audience can help you write
with a clear purpose in mind and will
make it so much easier to find ways to
get your writing noticed by the people
who will appeal to the most and don't
forget if it's struggling to rights or
finish your book our free writers
toolkit can help with it you'll learn
how to overcome procrastination and get
organized stay focused
find time to write and finally get your
book published to get access to it now

Hello there Peter here again from
writers life coming up today a very very
important video I think so because I'm a
freelancer and what I'm gonna tell you
here is very very important so the title
of today's video is is going freelance
worth the risk there are lots of reasons
why someone might think it's a great
idea to become a freelance writer but at
the same time they must accept that in
doing so they are taking on a certain
amount of risk but is it worth it let's
weigh up the pros and the Condors first
feast and famine ah the old feast and
famine cycle of being a freelancer
sometimes you are inundated with work at
other times you are twiddling your
thumbs with lots of work comes the
pressures of juggling different
assignments and meeting deadlines
without it you worry that you can't pay
your bills it can be tough but making
sure you try to plan as much as possible
and make provisions to see you through
the more sparse times will help you
manage these are much better next stress
and deadlines as much as you might be
able to try and plan your work there are
always going to be times where you are
up against it and feeling the pressure
there's also the possibility of having
your work returned for amendments which
can lead to suddenly having less time
than you thought
and next managing your finances
as well as good time management it's
also essential to be good with money and
numbers if you want to be a successful
freelancer without being willing to do
the boring stuff as well you could soon
find yourself in trouble managing
finances filling out tax returns and
contingency planning are all part of the
job our next building a client Menace
without a client base you'll end up
going from job to job never feeling any
security and continually worrying about
work drying up building up a good client
base and a solid reputation is so
important however this takes time so
successful freelancers need to be
willing to put the work in next no
holiday sick pay or mention remember if
you are ill you won't get paid and
probably won't get a lot of sympathy
from clients if you miss deadlines due
to sickness either you don't get any
paid holiday or a pension of any of the
comfortable perks of working a normal
job these are all things to take into
consideration before going freelance
full-time so there you have it
being a freelance writer can bring you
fantastic benefits and freedom and can
be a great way to make a living as well
but in doing so you must be prepared for
the highs and the lows and times where
it might feel like you've made a mistake
at the end of the day if you stay
organized plan for all eventualities and
keep persevering it can be everything
you want it to be and an extremely
rewarding career - and don't forget if
it's struggling to write or finish your
book our free writer's toolkit can help
with it you'll learn how to overcome
procrastination get organized stay first
fine times
and finally get your book published to
get access now while it's still
available simply go to

that's it for now be sure to give us the
